Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to bring?
A good pair of trainers designed for outdoor activity is essential along with a
good fitting sports bra. Throw in some outdoor work out gear that can be layered
and peeled off as needed, along with PJ’s too.
We might pop out for a curry – so pack your jeans just in case.
PLEASE NOTE – if you don't have anything to wear or don't know what to buy
– don't worry, let me know, and I can help.
I have never exercised before – does it matter?
No it really doesn't matter, the body is designed to move, and that is what we are
going to teach you and prepare you for. You'll love how your body feels and looks
again.
I have just had a baby – is it OK?
Providing you have had the all clear from your midwife – there is no problem
at all and positively encouraged to help get everything back into pre-baby shape.
I am recovering from an illness and wondered if it was safe to exercise
yet?
All our clients are asked to get a clean bill of health from their doctor before
they embark on an exercise regime. However, given that the body is designed to
exercise, you will be harming it more by not doing anything, than actually taking
part.
Can my friends come too?
Of course! We can sleep 4 comfortably and up to 6 un-comfortably on sofa beds. The
choice is yours and of course there are an abundance of hotels and local B&Bs
on our doorstep.
We are a couple, can we both come?
Yep – but we’ll tie you into a course specifically designed for
couples.
We are looking for a healthy hen party can you help?
Without question, let us know the dates you'd like and we’ll plan it
together.
I am quite picky with my food – will you cater for special
requests?
Simply let us know your likes and dislikes, or food intolerances and they will be
catered for where possible. If we get stuck, we’ll let you know.
Is there parking?
Street parking in the immediate area.
Postcode for your satnav is TN38 0NA.
Can you recommend a local B&B instead?
Of course, we understand if you'd rather not share a room and bathroom. It’s
not dissimilar to the memories you might have of a school trip. Part of the fun and
the experience is sharing the adventure with other like-minded people, quite often
in the same ‘boat’ as you. We would hate you to miss out on this
opportunity, however we have many local contacts for alternative accommodation from
boutique hotels, to affordable B&Bs.
Do we need insurance?
Travel insurance is recommended. We do of course carry public liability and the
instructor is insured to teach. Instructors are not doctors and confirmation from
your doctor is recommended if you feel in any way unfit for the course. On arrival
it is presumed you are well enough to exercise and eat healthily. If any injuries
are sustained during your stay it is likely to be the route cause of a lack of
exercise leading up to your course rather than the exercise itself. The body is
designed to move, and it is designed to be active.
